Check into your Saundersfoot hotel or cottage and give yourself five minutes to settle in before heading straight back out in search of the sea. Kick off your flip-flips and lay down your towel before running feet first into the waves where no doubt, you won’t be returning til your toes are starting to wrinkle.
Hire a paddle board, surf the sea, kayak to Wisemans Bridge or enjoy a leisurely sea swim in the blissful blue waters. On the golden sands of Saundersfoot Beach is the place to be during the summer.
An evening in Saundersfoot
Wash the sand and salt off with a late afternoon shower to begin your “getting-ready” routine for a night on the town in Saundersfoot is pure delight. Grab your coolest kicks or your best dress and head to one of the restaurants or pubs by the seafront, we love The Boat House, The Stone Crab and The Royal Oak Inn.
Head to Lan Y Mor overlooking Coppet Hall Beach for the ultimate date night or grab a takeaway from Argosy to enjoy a chippy tea by the water. You might even find a spot of live music taking place in any one of the drinking venues throughout the town, what better way to end your eve?
The next morning in Saundersfoot
For a breakfast of kings, head to MamGu Welshcakes overlooking the harbour. Order the full fry-up and you’ll be spoilt with a tasty cheese and leek savoury Welsh cake to accompany your brekkie - that’s breakfast, the Welsh way. Plus if you’re popping in for a mid-morning bite to eat, it makes sense to pick up a box of cakes to take home as a souvenir. If they last the whole journey, that is!
